Planning & Inspections Department

The mission of the Austell Planning Department is promoting the highest quality of life for current and future residents. The department oversees a comprehensive planning program designed to maintain and improve Austell's livability and the city's essential character.

Achieving this mission involves:

• Engaging in long-range planning.
• Promoting orderly growth and development.
• Administering land use standards that encourage the best uses of our land resources.
• Enforcing the city's zoning, subdivision and environmental regulations.
• Providing technical support to the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Planning Board and City Council.
